Shirley Ebdell's talk proved very interesting and everyone agreed they wanted more meetings like this one. She described walking 71 miles aged 71 years and raising £3500. Everone enjoyed seeing all the photos and asking lots of questions about how the money is helping the disadvantaged children adjust once they leave orphanages. Many have to learn about family life, taking responsibility and working together. We all came away full of admiration and appreciative of our home comforts!
