18 people came to hear Barry Woods give us some simple advice on safety at home. He was a police constable for 22 years and offered many tips including the how to look out for each other. Anyone interested in using a walking stick for self defence – courses are apparently available!

Talk by Shirley Ebdell, at Memorial Hall. Shirley told us that she has been a carer on and off for about 30 years. She has worked in Nursing Homes as well as Care Homes and as a Housemother in a Boarding School with 50 girls between the ages of 9 - 16. She has been a private live-in carer and also an agency carer and had many interesting tales to tell. read more »
18 people attended the AGM. We updated the constitution and elected the committee for the forthcoming year. The number of volunteers has fallen to 23 and the average attendance to our monthly meetings is 26, but the concensus was that we should make the most of all those keen to keep up the good work. read more »
