Ode to Pulham Surgery Support Group

Are you a slave to smoking? Would you like to pack it in?
The Support Group's there to help you, to restore your pearly grin.
To clear your lungs of nicotine and nasty clogging tar,
To have nice breath when breathing and the Doctor asks: "Say Aahh!"

Are you bothered by the heavy weight you carry ev'ry day?
Would you rather not be breathless when you walk a little way?
We've a guide for healthy eating and a plan of exercise;
Ask for help from the Support Group that would really be so wise.

Do you need an aid to help you walk, or assist you with the 'loo?
Just ask for the Support Group and we'll see what we can do.
Perhaps you need a wheel chair or some other useful aid,
We'll do our best to find someone who knows where they are made!

Perhaps you need to laugh a bit, to know that someone cares
That when your troubles seem too much, the problem can be shared.
We have a monthly meeting with a speaker for an hour
All kinds of things are talked about: from a head-ache to a flower.

And when the talk is over, I think you will agree,
It's just the time to have a chat and drink a cup of tea!
So if you want to get us we're on the Internet
Or enquire down at the Surgery where Lorna can be met.

The Pulham Surgery Support Group is here to lend a hand;
You only have to ask, you know, and your health care can be planned.
From sound advice and counsel, and a cheery word or two,
The Pulham Surgery Support Group is there for me and you!
