A few were a little apprehensive at first, but everyone agreed that it turned into an very enjoyable afternoon. The winning team took home some pretty plants, the produce stall sold out and the crafty cards were very colourful. Everyone agreed that Rosemarie was a brilliant speaker and her experiences were very interesting. She spokewith great sensitivity and humour. The St George's cake, courtesy of Shirley Ebdell, was delicious. Recipe available on request. The Starston Pealers entertained us with Christmas songs and the Christmas buffet went down extremely well. Everyone was busy with their seasonal preparations and getting into the festive mood. It was good to welcome Dr Hartley Booth and Kathey Sankey who dropped in from the surgery and joined in with the carol singing.
As always, Excel was excellent. It was good to meet up with everyone again after the Christmas excesses and to work off some of those mince pies! Audrey King has been running Excel Exercise classes in Pulham for many years and is well known to many of our supporters.

This was a first - our very own Margaret (Mags) Adlam and Valerie (Val) Gatenby got together to lead a Sing Song and everyone joined in. They even threw in a few amusing anecdotes that raised a laugh or two. Thanks to all those taking part.
The topic of the meeting was “Assistive Technology” which attracted an audience of 22. Chris Metcalfe, an Assistive Technology Support Worker, showed us a selection of equipment which is available to assist people to feel safer and more secure in their homes. read more »
