This developed into a lively meeting, prompting distant memories of the joy of long lost cleaning skills - of boots and buttons and carpets and cobwebs. Of mops and buckets and all manner of polish.
Shirley entertained us all and promised more to follow. I'm sure she'll be back - there's still the laundry to cover!
Shirley Ebdell's talk proved very interesting and everyone agreed they wanted more meetings like this one. She described walking 71 miles aged 71 years and raising £3500. Everone enjoyed seeing all the photos and asking lots of questions about how the money is helping the disadvantaged children adjust once they leave orphanages. read more »
This brought many surprises and much hilarity.
There were a wide variety of stories from making lunch for Princess Anne, to talking about historic books and showing photos of bygone days at Pulham School. They said that it was an excellent meeting, they wanted more like it, and it was enjoyable, interesting and fun!

As we launched the website in February 2008, our first years stats just cover 11 months with the new year starting in January. It's good to see that it is being used, but in Feb 2009 we decided to close our forum because of numerous unwanted hits. We do still welcome genuine contacts and constructive suggestions. read more »
